Session 3: What Makes a Business Idea Great?

Session 3: What Makes a Business Idea Great?

In this session, we move from “idea brainstorming” to “idea selecting.” Last session, you practiced JuniorCEO Opportunity Radar and learned how to spot possible ideas in everyday life. Now we focus on something important: not every idea could become a business—and that’s okay. Your goal today is to learn how to identify high-potential ideas that can actually work in the real world.

You will learn how to evaluate an idea using 5 key qualities, you will also explore real-world examples of young founders who built strong ideas with these qualities, and you will compare “random fun ideas” vs. “high-potential business ideas” so you can understand the difference clearly.

To help you apply everything, you will complete the “My JuniorCEO Idea Check” worksheet as well. If you’re still unsure what kind of project fits you best, this session also introduces 6 Student Types to help you discover what you may naturally enjoy—and what kinds of projects you may want to try first.

By the end of Session 3, you will have:

  • A clear understanding of what makes a business idea strong
  • A simple method to test ideas before spending time or money
  • One idea selected (or refined) using the Idea Check worksheet
  • A clearer sense of what kind of projects fit your strengths and personality

Before moving to Session 4, take your time to explore your ideas and submit your worksheet. We can’t wait to see which ideas you choose—and how you start turning them into real projects.
